Business Fours Host Covid-secure Corporate Charity Golf Event at The Forest of Arden
Business Fours Midlands Event
England’s national golf tournament continued on Wednesday 7th October with companies from the area gathering at the Forest of Arden for the Business Fours Midlands Event.
The event was supported by sponsors Inoapps and Caddyboo and all the players were in with a chance to win £2,500 for their chosen charity if they were lucky enough to hit a hole in one at one of the par 3 holes.
With a series of covid secure events procedures and guidelines in place, including hand sanitiser for each player thanks to sponsors Inoapps, teams embraced the virtual welcome address and presentation as part of their safety first hybrid event experience.
Each company selected their own charity to play for with the Business Fours prize up for grabs at the National final at the end of this month, a prize pot that is currently £1,941. Three companies from the Midlands event booked their place at that national final and it was TBL Fire & Protection captained by Shane Brassington who lifted the Midlands trophy.
Sponsors Inoapps played well enough to secure qualification finished in second place and a second TBL Fire & Protection team captained by Joe Hewitt also successfully qualified for the National Final.
In the individual awards the Joe Hewitt from TBL won the Nearest The Pin bragging rights at hole 6 and Dorothy Edwards from Inoapps hit it closest at hole 10. Joe Hodgson hit the Longest Drive on the 18th while Shane Brassington holed the Longest Putt on the 18th Green.
Unfortunately no one managed to hit an Ace on the 16th but with £10,000 for a Hole in One up for grabs at the final they still have a chance of taking home a sizeable prize for their charity.
The Midlands teams will go on to compete against qualifying teams from the North West, North East, and Yorkshire events at the final’s day on the Breadsall Priory Course on Wednesday 28th of October. Details of the events coming up can be found on their website here.
