Hargreaves Services Secure North East Title
Business Fours hit the halfway point of its 2022 season with its North East event hosted at Linden Hall. Some overnight rain made for some challenging conditions as teams competed for the chance to qualify for the National Final which is taking place at the end of October.
Alan Smith’s effort on the 7th wasn’t to be beaten as he lifted the nearest the pin alongside Jack Marshall from CAV Systems who hit it nearest on the 15th.
Accenture scooped the double with Richard Savage hitting the longest drive on the 9th and, after the flag pole was out to officially measure the putts on the 18th, it was Michael Hamilton who lifted the longest putt award.
With a donation of £2,500 up for grabs on the par 3 17th all the players had a shot at making an ace on the hole to scoop the prize with Iain from Westrock and Matthew Hargreaves going closest.

Some great shooting from all of the Hargreaves Services team put them on top to win the event and be crowned the new North East champions this 2022 season. Captained by General Manager Matthew Wilkinson the team will go on to play in support of Team Solan at the National Final on Thursday 27th October at Hill Valley.
Westrock who were supporting Newcastle Foodbank came runners up and reconfirmed their deserved presence at the National Final after two Westrock teams qualified for the event last year.

With three shots in it, CAV Systems playing on behalf of Willow Burn Hospice placed third to secure their qualification spot. They will go on to join Accenture who were supporting The Childrens Foundation, Hargreaves Services and Westrock at the National Final alongside the top teams of the remaining qualifiers.
Business Fours continues its events in September, heading to Surrey National on Tuesday 27th, The Players Golf Club on Wednesday 28th and rounding up the last qualifier in the Midlands on Thursday 29th at West Midlands Golf Club.
