Business Fours Yorkshire Event

England’s national golf tournament qualifying stages finished on Friday 9^th October with companies from the Yorkshire area gathering for some socially distant golf at Oulton Hall in Leeds for Business Fours Yorkshire event.

With a series of covid secure events procedures and guidelines in place, including hand sanitiser for each player thanks to sponsors Inoapps, teams embraced the virtual welcome address and presentation as part of their safety first hybrid event experience.

Each company selected their own charity to play for with the Business Fours prize up for grabs at the National final at the end of this month, a prize pot that is currently £1,941. Five companies from the Yorkshire event booked their place at that national final and it was sponsors, Nexus Vehicle Rental who came out on top under the captaincy of Mike Palmer.

Nexus beat teams from SICL, FDQ, Smart Search and One Young World who all successfully qualified for the National Final.

In the individual awards the Nearest The Pin bragging rights went to Dr Jane Downes from FDQ team at hole 2 and Dr Downes also won the Longest Drive award at hole 16. Craig Wilkinson from SICL hit it closest at hole 14 and the  longest putt holed on the 18^th went to Connor Adams from Chromalloy.

Unfortunately no one managed to hit an Ace on the 11^th but with £10,000 for a Hole in One up for grabs at the final they still have a chance of taking home a sizeable prize for their charity.

The Yorkshire qualifying teams will compete against qualifying teams from the North East, Midlands and North West at the finals day at the Breadsall Priory Course on Wednesday 28^th of October.  Details of the events coming up can be found on their website here.
