Business Fours launch its Charity Golf North East Qualifier

As part of England’s national business golf tournament Business Fours is hosting the charity golf North East qualifying day at the Linden Hall Championship Course in Northumberland on Thursday 8th October.

Against the backdrop of uncertainty businesses throughout the country are faced with Business Fours has developed a COVID-Secure events safety procedures and guidelines which outline the safety measures to be followed to provide a safe environment for all taking part. These measures which include limiting numbers at events to 12 fourballs to allow for social distancing are designed first and foremost with client safety in mind and to create a comfortable environment for everyone taking part.  These can be accessed on the Business Fours website here.

With 10% of all revenue being donated to the winner’s charity of choice charity is a huge driver for the company organising the events who have raised over £170,000 for charities across the UK and counting.  Golfers will have the opportunity to scoop a £10,000 charity donation for hitting a hole in one at the national final event with £2,500 on offer for an ace at any of the qualifying events. Last year’s winners, Malcolm Hollis took home the trophy and the prize donation of £2,100 for their chosen charity Alzheimer’s UK more information on the work of this fantastic charity can be found here.

Alongside the North East event, Business Fours also tees off in the North West, Midlands and Yorkshire ahead of the national final will take place at Breadsall Priory Country Club Championship Course on 28th October where the destination of the charitable donation will be decided by the winning company.

Golf enthusiasts from companies around England are taking part in Business Fours golf events with the tournament now open for entries. Colleagues can enter a team of 4 under their company name and enjoy a day of team building.

Alongside making a charitable impact, this charity golf North East event promotes health and fitness in a relaxed environment and offers an opportunity to meet new people and develop existing connections in a socially distant manner. The team captain from last years runners up, Anderson Strathern, described the day as “a fantastic event which provided an excellent platform to meet new connections in a relaxed and fun environment”.

Business Fours founder, John McClarey said “We are really looking forward to bringing our golf events to the North East, following how well Business Fives has been received in the area by local businesses and the phenomenal charity efforts they have made.  Our reigning English champions came from Tees Valley and we look forward to seeing if the National Business Golf Champions of England will come from the North East.”
