Linear Land the Win at Business Fours Glasgow Qualifier
Business Fours were delighted to return to Glasgow Gailes Golf Club to host its Glasgow Autumn qualifier. After a restricted event at the club last year, it was great to be back to experience the club’s fantastic hospitality.
The players managed to avoid most of the rain as well as make the most of some very difficult scoring conditions with all teams walking away with a prize.
The purple and orange Autorek teams who were sporting their colourful tops battled it out on the course for office bragging rights while supporting MacMillan Cancer Support. It was Nick Botha from the orange team who hit it closest on the 6th and Piers Williams from the purple team holed the longest putt on the 18th. With a qualifying spot up for grabs it was the purple team who secured third place and their spot at the National Final.
A huge thank you to Laings Jewellery for their support sponsoring the event and a special mention to Grant Smith for presenting the prizes at the presentation. It was Ben Rodger from Laings who hit a great shot on hole 14 which saw him take home the longest drive award. The team were playing on behalf of the British Heart Foundation and secured the runners up position to join Autorek at the National Final next year.
It was Campbell Stewart from Linear projects who hit it closest on the 12th. Linear projects were crowned the new Glasgow Business Fours champions and won a £500 donation for MND Scotland.
Business Fours continues its Autumn season in Newcastle on Tuesday 19th October for its North West Event. Business Fives look forward to heading back to Glasgow at the end of next month for its Glasgow five-a-side football qualifier. Full details of the event can be found here.
